Mixed results for CK Cougars

The Chatham-Kent Cougars Varsity team suffered its first loss of the season over the weekend, falling 24-10 to Sault Ste. Marie.

Darion Bacik Hadden threw the Cougars' lone touchdown of the game to Ben Barnard while Cam Creechan kicked a field goal and an extra point.

The Varsity Cougars' next game is Sunday vs. the Brampton Bulldogs.

The Peewee Cougars had better luck, though.

They beat Brantford 33-12 with Caleb Roberts scoring on running plays of 45 yards and 63 yards. CJ Roberts also added two running TDs (5 yards and 53 yards) while quarterback Sawyer Emmott connected with Jayden Baylis on a 33-yard passing TD.

The Peewee Cougars will travel to Brampton to face the Bulldogs next.
