CK Cougars score a pair of wins

The Peewee and Varsity teams for the Chatham-Kent Cougars both came away with 'W's on the weekend.

The Peewees held off the Brampton Bulldogs for a 40-32 win to improve their record to 4-1 on the season.

Caleb Roberts led the way, scoring 5 touchdowns for the Cougars -- three rushing TDs, a 43-yard receiving TD, and an 85-yard kickoff return TD.

Skyler Mattia had a strong game on the defensive side with 8 tackles.

The Peewee Cougars hit the road for their next game, which is against the Forest City Thunderbirds this coming Saturday.

The Varsity team put on an even stronger showing, mauling the Brampton Bulldogs with a 31-0 shutout win.

Jonny Cartier, Garrette Stonefish, Nakoma Scott, and Lucas Doyle all scored TDs for the Cougars in the win while Sam Creechan kicked a 32-yard field goal and made all of his extra points.
