Lancers finish fourth at provincial curling championship

The Ursuline Lancers boys’ curling team has finished in fourth place at the Ontario School Curling Championship provincial event.

The Chatham Granite Club hosted the three-day event, which started on February 13.

The UCC team was made up of Alex Jeromel (skip), Austin Haddock (vice), John Pumfrey (second), and Caden Rivard (lead). The team was coached by Jim Brackett and Amy Dumoulin.

In addition to their plaques, the young competitors may have also walked away with a life lesson. According to a post on the Chatham Granite Club's Facebook page, para-athlete Ryan Van Praet spoke to the group about being a good team player and surrounding oneself with people who will challenge them in a positive way.
