The Toronto Blue Jays will play October baseball

The Toronto Blue Jays are returning to the post-season for the third time in four years.

Despite an extra-inning 7-5 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, the Jays clinched a wild-card spot when the Seattle Mariners lost to the Texas Rangers.

Who Toronto faces for a best-of-three wild card series will be decided on Sunday.

If the Jays beat the Rays in their final regular season game, the two teams will meet again Tuesday.

If the Jays lose, (and the Houston Astros beat the Arizona Diamondbacks) they will face the Minnesota Twins.

Toronto was swept in the wild-card round last year and in 2020 and will have their work cut out for them this year as well, because either way the Jays will play on the road.
