Five Barnstormers named IBL All-Stars

It may be the first season for the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers in the Intercounty Baseball League, but that didn't stop the team from getting multiple players named to the All-Star team.

Third baseman Robert Mackie and outfielder Spencer Marcus were named starters for the South Team, while first baseman Seth Strong, catcher Mitsuki Fukuda, and Aden Ryan were named reserves.

They'll take the field for the All-Star Showdown at Welland Stadium on Saturday, July 20.

There will be a Home Run Derby in the afternoon before the showdown, and fireworks after the game.

The All-Star selections were determined through a combination of fan and media votes, with fans having the opportunity to vote for a final player on each team through an online poll at a later date.
