Canadian duo wins bronze in 10m synchro diving event

The medal count for Canada at the Paris Olympics continues to grow.

Rylan Wiens of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Nathan Zsombor-Murray of Pointe-Claire, Quebec won bronze in the men’s synchronized 10-metre platform event on Monday.

It's Canada’s first ever Olympic medal in the men's event.

The duo scored 422.13 through six rounds.

Wiens, 22, and Zsombor-Murray, 21, shared the podium with Great Britain's Tom Daley and Noah Williams who won silver, and China's Lian Junjie and Yang Hao who won gold.

Team Canada earned two other medals over the weekend. Eleanor Harvey won bronze in the women's individual foil event and Summer McIntosh won silver in the women's 400-metre freestyle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
