Méthot soars to bronze in trampoline event

Sophiane Méthot, 25, of Quebec, has won an Olympic bronze medal in the women’s trampoline event.

Team Canada said the Paris Games marked Méthot's Olympic debut.

She finished with a score of 55.650 on Friday.

Two-time Olympic medalist Bryony Page of Great Britain won gold with a score of 56.480 and Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya, who's competing as an independent athlete, finished second.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
