Canada gets bronze at Hlinka Gretzky Cup

Team Canada is coming home from Czechia and Slovakia after winning bronze at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

Canada shutout team Finland in the third place game, 3-0. Getting the goals were Saskatoon Blades' Cooper Williams, Windsor Spitfires' Ethan Belchetz, and Prince Albert Raiders' Daxon Rudolph.

Leading the way for Canada at the tournament were Belchetz and Spokane Chiefs' Mathis Preston. They each had scored four goals and added three assists for seven points.

Kitchener Rangers' Adam Valentini and Vancouver Giants' Ryan Lin were the only other players to score at a point-per-game pace.

Meanwhile, Team USA won the gold after beating Canada in the semi-finals and Team Sweden in the finals.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
