Maroons game postponed due to World Series, Halloween

The Chatham Maroons' next game is being postponed by the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL).

The team was scheduled to play in St. Marys on Friday against the Lincolns, with the game now re-scheduled for January 3.

In a statement, the GOHL explained that the game is being postponed due to the World Series and Halloween.

"In order to support our GOHL community and fan base, we have decided to reschedule (Friday's) game," read the statement.

Game 6 of the World Series is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday. With a win, the Toronto Blue Jays would capture their third World Series title in franchise history. The first two happened in back-to-back years in 1992 and 1993.
