Crashes Involving Deer Drastically Spike

The OPP is asking drivers to be on the lookout while in rural areas after more than 35 crashes involving deer so far this month.

Officers have been called to more than 35 collisions where a vehicle hit a deer, equalling 50% of all crashes in Middlesex County during that time.

OPP are asking you to slow down, use your high beams when possible and never swerve to avoid the animal.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
