London Man Identified In Fatal Carrick Township Crash

South Bruce OPP have identified the victim of Thursday afternoon's fatal two-vehicle collision on Bruce County Rd. 12 in Carrick Township.

OPP say officers responded to the crash, along with EMS, and Teesewater firefighters, on Bruce County Rd. 12 at around 4pm.

Police say a white Ford Escape was traveling southbound when it began to spin, eventually colliding with a white Dodge 3500 pick-up truck.

The driver of the Escape, 59-year-old Marcus Urbanowicz of London, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crash reconstruction investigators had closed Bruce County Rd. 12 between Grubb Line and Hwy. 9, but it has since reopened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
