Guns And Drugs Seized In Raid

A 19-year-old London man is facing 20 charges after police seized two loaded guns, cocaine and cash from his home.

Police say members of the Guns and Drugs Unit executed a search warrant at an Ernest Ave. address yesterday.

Investigators seized the following items:

  • Norinco AK47 style rifle, loaded
  • 22 rounds of 7.62 ammunition
  • Colt .45 handgun, loaded
  • 35 rounds of .45 calibre ammunition
  • Pepper spray
  • 98g of cocaine worth $9,300
  • $1,080 cash
Justin Kunz, 19, of London faces the following charges:
  • two counts of possession of a loaded regulated firearm
  • three counts of careless storage of a firearm/ammunition
  • two counts of possession of prohibited/restricted firearm without a licence
  • possession of a restricted device
  • possession of a prohibited weapon
  • five counts of failing to comply with conditions of undertaking
  • five counts of possession of a firearm/ammunition/weapon while prohibited
  • possession of the schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
