Lightning Strikes Moncton

The London Lightning won a 126-97 blowout game against the Moncton Miracles at Budweiser Gardens Thursday night.

The Lightning led Moncton by six points at the end of the first quarter and massively extended their lead to 23 points by halftime. Going into the fourth quarter, London had a huge 102-67 lead over the Miracles, which did not falter much before the end of the game.

The Lightning are now 6-3 in the season.

Jonathan Mills led all scorers with 25 points and nine rebounds. Marvin Phillips contributed 18 points and led the team with 14 rebounds.

The Lightning take on the Brampton A's on Sunday at 2pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
