Alarm Scares Off Would-Be Thief

Police in Woodstock are looking for a suspect after a failed attempt at stealing from a bank.

Just after 4:30am Friday, police say a man in a mask used a crow bar to force open the door of the ScotiaBank at Springbank Ave. and Devonshire Ave. When the man pried the door open, the alarm sounded and the man took off.

Police arrived and weren't able to find him. Nothing was taken from the bank.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Woodstock police or Crime Stoppers.
