Gubbels Case Put Over To 2015

Court proceedings for the London man charged in the deaths of his Warwick Township parents will resume in the new year.

Jeremy Gubbels made his latest appearance in a series of video remands at Sarnia court Friday morning.

Gubbels was remanded in custody until January 12 when he will once again appear by video from the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre.

The 26-year-old is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of his parents, Susan and Mario Gubbels.

A ban has been imposed on the publication or broadcast of information given during the court proceedings.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
