Platinum Blonde To Headline New Year's Eve

Canadian rockers Platinum Blonde will headline London's New Year's Eve celebration in Victoria Park.

The announcement was made Friday morning Ed Holder, co-chair of the event coordinating committee.

The December 31 festivities get underway with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from "My Perfect Princess Party."

Artists that participated in the Western Fair District “Rise 2 Fame” competition will follow. There will also be balloons and hot chocolate for kids. The children's portion of the evening will conclude with fireworks at 9pm.

Then, the band Hanger 18 will warm up the crowd before Platinum Blonde take the stage.

Immediately following the countdown to midnight, there will be another fireworks display.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
