Arrest Made After Explosion In Oxford County

One person has been arrested after an explosion caused a fire in a home north of Woodstock.

The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday around 5:55am, officers and firefighters responded to the home in Sun Park Hidden Valley on Hwy. 59 N in East Zorra–Tavistock Township.

There were two men and a woman in the house at the time of the explosion, but no one was injured.

A male has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being held in custody.

The Fire Marshall’s office has been called in to investigate.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
