Lightning Falls To Express

The Windsor Express earned their seventh straight victory with a 131-120 win over the London Lightning.

During the game Friday night, the Express started the game strong scoring 46 points in the first quarter, taking a 24 point lead going into the second frame. Windsor managed to get a 76-48 lead over London by halftime, but  the Lightning came back strong in the second half, scoring 43 points in the third quarter. The final frame was back and forth between both teams, but Windsor was able to keep London at bay to take the win.

Tony Bennett was lead scorer for Windsor with 34 points. Quinnel Brown had 23 points and 20 rebounds.

For the Lightning, John Hart carried his club with 36 points.

The Express are back on Sunday to take on the Mississauga Power at 2pm and then the Lightning will take on the Power on Thursday at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
