First Local Flu Death Of Season

Although flu activity in the London area is still described as low by the Middlesex-London Health Unit, it has claimed a life.

Only two cases of influenza were reported between November 30 and December 6, but in one case, the patient died. There have been seven flu cases since September 1 and one outbreak. Two people have required hospitalization.

Across the country, 48 flu cases were reported and the majority of patients were over the age of 65.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
