Orchestra London Cancels Shows

Orchestra London is cancelling two shows scheduled for this weekend.

According to the orchestra's web site, the two "A Very Elvis Christmas Shows" scheduled for December 12 and 13 will not happen.

It is reported that the organization does not have the funds to guarantee the performers will get paid.

Orchestra London relies heavily on donations and has been unable to secure the second installment of a $1-million committment.

The organization also receives $500,000 from the City of London each year.

It is unclear if the orchestra, boasting roughly 50 musicians, will continue in 2015.

The orchestra was founded in 1937.
