Victim Of Fatal Norwich Collision Identified

Oxford OPP have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle collision in Norwich Township on Saturday.

Officials say they were called to the crash on Oxford Rd. 13, north of Maple Dell Rd. at around 7:50am. Police say the driver struck a hydro pole and was then ejected from the vehicle.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

23-year-old Kolin Smith of Norwich Township has been identified as the driver.

Around 2,000 Hydro One customers went without power in the Ingersoll and Norwich area after the crash. Power has since been restored.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
