Knife-Point Convenience Store Robbery

A convenience store clerk scared off an attempted robber in Oxford County Saturday night.

OPP officers were dispatched to Princeton Variety Store in Blandford-Blenheim Township Saturday just before 9pm.

Police say the lone male suspect approached the counter with a knife, threatened the employee and demanded cash. The store clerk then chased the man out of the store.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 19-30 years old standing between 5'7" to 5'9" with a slim build. He was wearing blue overalls with grey at the chest and shoulders, a dark open-face balaclava, dark shoes and a black backpack.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
