Arrest Made In Sexual Assault

Police have made an arrest after a woman was sexually assaulted under the railway underpass on Richmond St. in London.

The London Police Service says on December 30, 2014 around 9:10pm, a woman was walking south on Richmond St. from York St., when she was grabbed from behind. The victim reported being touched in a sexual manner by a man. She was able to fight off the assault and the suspect took off heading west.

The woman was not harmed in the attack.

Police say on Friday, 30 year-old Travis Lowe of London was arrested after police received a tip from the public. Lowe is charged with one count of sexual assault in connection with the incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
