Lightning Washed Away By Rainmen

The London Lightning are now 11-7 in the season after falling 111-107 to the Halifax Rainmen on Saturday.

At the end of the first quarter, the Lightning trailed the Rainmen 22-18 and were down by just three points at half time. The Rainmen continued to lead London at the end of the third quarter, but the Lightning were able to tie to the game 96-96 at the end of the fourth. In overtime it was the Rainmen who emerged the winners.

Marvin Phillips was the London's highest scorer with 25 points. Emmanuel Little had 24 points and 16 rebounds.

The Lightning will take on the Saint John Mill Rats on Sunday at 2pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
