Searching For Snow Angels

It's been a snowy start to 2015 in London, and that has meant a lot of driveway shoveling.

But for some elderly and physically challenged Londoners, clearing the driveway is no easy feat. That's why a city man is looking to put together a team of volunteers, or "Snow Angels" to make sure those driveways get shoveled.

Lincoln McCardle says he wants to launch a website, where volunteers can register to help.

"A local web company has been in touch," says McCardle. "It hasn't been finalized yet, but it sounds like they'll be willing to take on the design and development of the website as a community project."

McCardle admits there is still a lot of work to be done, especially considering there would be liability issues that would need to be addressed. But he says he hopes to have everything in place by next winter, if not sooner.

"With things seemingly picking up traction as quick as they are, it might be nice at least to do a bit of a test run by the end of this winter so we can really see what we're lacking, what we need to implement, and what can be done," says McCardle.

McCardle's "Snow Angels" project has already established a social media presence. More information can be found on Twitter and Facebook.
