Cold Weather Alert Lifted

As temperatures rise the cold weather alert issued for Elgin County has been lifted.

The cold weather alert was initially issued on Monday, January 12 and was the second of the year.

Temperatures with the wind chill have been near -30 C, with frost bite and hypothermia possible after being outside for mere minutes.  However, Environment Canada predicts a warm up in the next few days.

The cold weather alert issued by the Middlesex-London Health Unit also expires today.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
