Lightning Strikes Down Power

The London Lightning are now 12-8 in the season after defeating the Mississauga Power 98-90.

During the game on Sunday, the Lightning trailed 30-25 behind the Power at the end of the first quarter, but London made a comeback in the second, taking a seven point lead at halftime. In the second half of the game, London was able to hold their lead until the buzzer for the win.

Marvin Phillips led the Lightning in scoring with 23 points. Emmanuel Little led in rebounds with 16 and also chipped in 18 points. Jonathan Mills scored 15 points and had 12 rebounds.

The Lightning play again next Sunday against the Brampton A's at 2pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
