Memorial Ride For Victim Of Western Crash Set For Sunday

A memorial ride in honour of the man who died in a car accident on Western University campus is set for Sunday night.

Jay "Johnny" Broz was killed in a fatal collision on Western campus last Sunday.

Organizers will meet at the Sears parking lot at Oxford and Wonderland at 8pm, with the cruise itself starting at 8:30pm. The route, shown below, will head north through Western campus, then south towards downtown and onto the McDonalds on Wellington Road near Hwy. 401.

As of Sunday morning, over 274 people had said they were attending the ride on its Facebook page.

Organizers will be selling memorial car stickers for $6, as they continue to raise money for the crowd-funding initiative in Broz's name.

A 23-year-old London man has been charged in Broz's death.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
