Coyote Shot and Killed in Wortley Area

A skinny and bold coyote roaming properties in the Wortley Rd. and Baseline Rd. area on Sunday afternoon was shot and killed by police.

It's not the first time a coyote, possibly the same one, was spotted in the area.

Constable Ken Steeves tells Blackburn News police don't normally get involved with wild animal sightings but this one was different.

The coyote didn't seem to have any fear of people and even climbed onto the porch of a house.

London police officers first tasered the animal and then shot it.
