Spitfires Fall To Knights

The Windsor Spitfires lost a 5-2 game to London after a strong performance from the Knights in the third period.

Both teams scored once in the first period, but Windsor was able to take a one-goal advantage by the end of the second. The Knights capitalized in the final frame, however, scoring four more goals for the win.

Victor Mete led the Knights with two goals, while Chris Martenet, Christian Dvorak and Josh Sterk each scored one. Hayden McCool and Daniil Vertiy scored the two goals for Windsor.

The Knights face off against the Guelph Storm on Friday at 7:30pm, and then on Saturday, the Spits are back to take on the Plymouth Whalers at 7:05pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
