Update: Driver Critical After Crash

Middlesex OPP have released the names of the men involved in a head-on crash in Parkhill on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 12:58pm, a Dodge pickup truck traveling south on Grand Bend Rd. crossed into the northbound lanes, colliding head-on with a Ford pickup truck that was towing a trailer loaded with wood.

The 44-year-old male driver of the Dodge pickup, Richard Want of Lambton Shores, had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford truck, 21-year-old Kevin Kustermans of North Middlesex, was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are still looking into what may have caused the collision.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
