Woman Drives Car At Police Officers

A woman has been arrested after police say she intentionally drove a vehicle at officers.

The London Police Service says on Wednesday around 7:22pm, officers responded to to a call about a woman who was trespassing on the property of an apartment building in the area of Proudfoot Lane and Oxford St. W.

Police attempted to speak to a female suspect at the scene who was found sitting in a parked vehicle on the property. The woman then allegedly drove the vehicle at the officers who tried to stop the woman two more times before she lost control of the car.

No one was injured during the incident, but two marked police cruisers and one unmarked police cruiser were damaged.

Helen Nemeth, 72, of no fixed address faces two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one charge of flight from police.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
