Unemployment Rate Drops

Stats-Can reports that the London-St. Thomas unemployment rate fell for a second month in a row.

The rate for January 2015 was pegged at 7.2%, down from December 2014's adjusted rate of 7.3%.

Nationally, the economy added 35,400 new jobs in January, dropping the rate to 6.6%.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
