Lightning Strike Down Express

The London Lightning outplayed the Windsor Express 93-91 in a close game Friday night.

The Express trailed the Lightning by three points at the end of the first quarter, but Windsor was able to tie the game 45-45 at halftime. Windsor gained a one point lead going into the fourth, however the Lightning had the game tied with one minute left and were able to sneak ahead before the buzzer.

Marvin Phillips scored 32 points for London, while Jonathan Mills had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

DeAndre Thomas led the Express with 23 points, while Kevin Loiselle had ten rebounds.

The Lightning play the Halifax Rainmen on Sunday at 2pm, and then on Tuesday the Express take on the Mississauga Power at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
