Body Of Elderly Woman Found At Tillsonburg School

Police are working to identify the body of an elderly woman that was discovered early this morning on a Tillsonburg school ground.

The OPP says investigators were called to Maple Lane Public School just before 7am. The woman was found without vital signs and later pronounced dead.

Officers are canvassing the area to see if anyone has a family member or tenant who did not return home last night.

"It's a residential area with several different types of dwellings in the area, we do have single-family homes and it is quite populated. It's an active death investigation and we're going to wait and see where the evidence leads us," OPP Constable Stacey Culbert tells BlackburnNews.com.

Culbert says the cause of death has yet to be determined. However, foul play is not suspected.
