Knights Withstand Sting

The Sarnia Sting fell 7-4 to the London Knights in OHL action on Sunday.

The Sting took a 1-0 lead after the first period, but it was short lived with London taking a 3-2 lead going into the third.  Sarnia was able to score two more in the final frame, but the Knights scored four more goals to ensure their win.

Max Domi and Mitchell Marner led the Knights with two goals each. Christian Dvorak, Josh Sterk and Julius Bergman each scored one for London.

Pavel Zacha was top scorer for Sarnia with two goals, while Troy Lajeunesse and Daniel Nikandrov each had one.

The Knights are back on the ice on Tuesday to take on the Kitchener Rangers at 7pm. And then on Thursday, the Sting face off against the Plymouth Whalers at 7:05pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
