Three Online Child Luring Reports In Perth

Perth OPP are investigating three separate, unrelated online luring incidents where minors have been asked to share naked photos of themselves.

One investigation focuses on a chat site where a child was isolated from other members and ended up in a private chat with an unknown person, who then asked for a naked photo.

The other two investigations focus on Google Hangouts and a messaging web site where uses are anonymous. Police say the person asking for the photos appears to be of similar age as the two youth involved.

The Child Exploitation Unit is investigating. However, parents are being urged to keep a close eye on their children while they are using the internet.

OPP say it is important to keep the lines of communication open so children feel comfortable reporting incidents like this.

Anyone with information is asked ot contact police or CrimeStoppers.
