Three Remain In Hospital After Weekend Crash

Three young Central Huron children remain in hospital with injuries suffered in a two vehicle crash Saturday night in Holmesville.

With was just after 10 p.m. when Huron County OPP, along with Huron County EMS personnel and Clinton Fire Department arrived at the scene at the intersection of Huron Road (Highway 8) and Parr Line.

Police say the driver of a westbound minivan made a left turn to head southbound on Parr line in front of an eastbound pickup which hit the passenger side of the minivan.

Five occupants from the minivan were taken to hospital.

The 27-year-old female driver from Central Huron and her 29-year-old male passenger from Huron East were both treated and released from hospital.

An 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old girl from Central Huron remain in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 3 year old boy, from Central Huron remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The four occupants of the pickup all sustained minor injuries.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
