Second Snowmobiler Hit By Vehicle

For the second time this week a snowmobiler has been hit by a minivan while crossing the road.

Perth OPP say officers were called to Road 145 between Line 63 and Line 39 near Sebringville around 3:30 yesterday.

A snowmobile was travelling westbound on a trail and crossed the road, driving into the side of the minivan.

The 15-year-old driver was treated for minor injuries and released from hospital. He has been charged with failing to yield.

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old Central Elgin man was airlifted to hospital in a similar incident in Malahide Township on Sunday.

OPP say the snowmobiler was on a marked trail but did not stop for a stop sign, driving into the path of a minivan on Hacienda Rd.

The minivan t-boned the snowmobile.

Police are still investigating that incident.
