Funeral Set For Murder Victim

A memorial service is set for the man beaten to death at a Baseline Rd. W apartment earlier this week.

James Willits, 29, died in hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for head trauma. Police say Willits was badly beaten on Monday morning.

Ronald Chrisjohn, 30, faces one charge of second degree murder in connection to Willits' death. Police believe there were a total of three men involved.

Steven Antone, 22, of London is wanted for second degree murder and robbery.  Antone is described as being of Frist Nations descent, 5’9" tall, weighing 150 lbs, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was clean shaven at the time of the murder.

Investigators have yet to identify the third man.

Online condonlences say Willits was committed to his 4-year-old daughter, working towards turning his life around and completing his education.

An online fund has been set up to pay for his funeral expenses and to support his daughter.

Family and friends of Willits will gather at the A. Millard George Funeral on Sunday from 1pm-4pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
