Appeal For Witnesses To Hit And Run

The Norfolk County OPP hopes this Friday the 13th will provide an opportunity for someone to come forward with information about a fatal hit and run near Port Dover.

On Saturday May 14, 2011 at about 5:15 am, Chad Everets, 20, of Port Hope, was hit and killed as he walked along Cockshutt Rd. north of Port Dover. Investigators would like anyone who saw him walking along the road, or the suspect vehicle, to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Norfolk County OPP Detachment Commander Inspector Zvonko Horvat says they are pursuing leads but need the help of eyewitnesses.

“The OPP are currently following up on information provided by the public, however, someone in the community has knowledge of this collision and we need them to have the courage to come forward,” he says.
