Colder Than Normal Spring On Tap

Environment Canada says Londoners can expect a colder than normal spring, with daytime highs near the 9C mark.

The average daytime high temperature for mid-April is 12C, but Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Geoff Coulson tells BlackburnNews.com it will be a few degrees cooler than that.

"We are expecting a cold front to go through and unfortunately that's the trend we're seeing for the rest of March and April," says Coulson. "There is still that possibility of snow. With this forecast of cooler than normal conditions we could still expect to see some snow in the forecast over the course of the next 7-10 days. However, looking at the forecast overall it looks pretty quiet in respect to storm systems across Ontario."

Coulson notes it is too early to predict what summer temperatures will be like.

Spring officially arrives in London at 6:45pm this evening.
