High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Target in the Westmount Mall on Wonderland Rd. will close its doors on April 4. 
It is one of 18 stores across the country that will be shut down that day. 
The company announced earlier this week, London's other Target store in Masonville Mall will be closing on April 2.
Officials from Target announced in January that all Canadian stores would cease operations by mid-May of this year, only two years after the company decided to enter the Canadian marketplace. 
The mass closure of 133 stores will result in the loss of 17,000 jobs.
