London Central in Top Ten Again

London Central Secondary School has been recognized as one of the top ten best secondary schools in Ontario.

In their annual report, the Fraser Institute put LCSS ninth in their ranking of 749 schools across the province, with an 8.9 ranking in the 2013-14 school year.

LCSS finished third-best in last year's rankings.

When it comes to London schools, St. Thomas Aquinas ranked second-highest at 104th. Oakridge was 119th and AB Lucas placed 181st with a score of 7.2.

Gabriel-Dumont was ranked eighth on a list of the fastest improving schools and placed 281st.

The lowest-ranking secondary school in London was Montcalm, listed 722nd out of 749 schools across the province.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
