More Charges In Standoff

London police say drugs and weapons were found at an east end home that was the site of a 24 hour standoff earlier this week.

Peter Muir, 46, now faces the following charges:

  • uttering death threats
  • possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x2)
  • unauthorized possession of a prohibited
  • unlawfully producing a schedule II substance
  • possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
Officers were initially called to 113 Madison Ave. around 11am on Monday morning. The sherriff went to the house to evict the man living there.

The 46-year-old armed himself with a crossbow and barricaded himself inside the home. After a full day of negotiations, he surrendered peacefully.

Officers then searched the home and seized the following:

  • a crossbow
  • several crossbow arrows
  • a pellet pistol
  • two silencers for pellet pistol
  • 23 marijuana plants valued at $23,000
  • 2,184 grams of marijuana bud valued at $2,184
Investigators say Muir is known to police and was wanted for breaching his parole.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
