Drunk Man Wanders Into Home

A man is facing charges after allegedly wandering into a Simcoe home while intoxicated.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on April 25 around 2:53am, the homeowner contacted police after an unknown man entered the North Main St. residence, went downstairs and took a seat on a couch.

After calling police, the homeowner woke up family members who then left the residence. Police then arrived and removed the intruder from the home.

Now, 22-year-old Samual Hoover of Norfolk County has been charged with entering premises when entry was prohibited contrary to the Trespass to Property Act.

Police are reminding all homeowners to ensure that all doors and windows are secured in order to prevent similar incidents.
