Serious Rollover Crash Injures One

A St. Catharines man has suffered serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Norfolk County.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on Sunday around 11:46am, a grey vehicle traveling east on Concession 13 collided with a white pick-up truck that was traveling south on Cockshutt Rd. The crash caused the pick-up truck to roll several times, at which point the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver, a 26-year-old man from St. Catharines, was taken to a local hospital, before being transferred to Hamilton Health Sciences Hospital for further assessment. Police says he suffered life threatening injuries.

The driver of the the grey vehicle, a 62-year-old man from Quebec, was not injured in the crash.

Police say Cockshutt Rd. between Concession 12 and Concession 14, as well as Concession 13 between Cockshutt Rd. and Old Mahoney Rd. were closed for several hours while officers conducted an investigation.
