Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash

A motorcyclist is in hospital fighting for his life after being hit by an SUV driven by a man who had allegedly been drinking.

OPP say officers and paramedics were called to Blueline Rd. and Concession 12 in Norfolk County around 4:30 yesterday afternoon.

A red coloured SUV was travelling eastbound on Concession 12 when it entered the intersection and hit a motorcycle being driven by a 53-year-old Brantford man who was travelling northbound on Blueline Rd.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious life threatening injures and was taken to a local hospital, then airlifted by Ornge air ambulance to a Hamilton hospital where he remains .

The driver of the SUV was unharmed. Gregory Miller, 36, of St. Catharines faces a charge of careless driving and novice driver - blood alcohol concentration above zero.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
