UPDATE: Power Restored In Southern Huron-Perth

Power has been restored follow a significant outage that affected over 14,000 Hydro One customers in southern Huron-Perth and into parts of Lambton and Middlesex Counties early Saturday evening.

The lights were out in Seaforth, Mitchell, St. Marys, Lucan, Parkhill, Grand Bend and Exeter. Smaller communities in these areas were also without power.

The estimated restoration time is was 7pm but lights began to come back on just after 6pm.

This all came as a thunderstorm watch continues to loom in all of southern Ontario. Environment Canada says conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain.
