Grow-op, Weapons Seized In St. Thomas

St. Thomas police say the search of a home on Wilson Ave. Thursday evening turned up a marijuana grow-op and some illegal weapons.

Investigators say they found more than $17,000 worth of dry marijuana and plants and three banned weapons.

Randy Valliere, 45, of St. Thomas, is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of prohibited weapon.
  • Production of a controlled substance.
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
